The\nKarnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa said that \u201cthere will be no more lockdowns in Bengaluru or other parts of the state\nas it was not the only solution to contain the spread of covid-19\u201d.  After the Karnataka CM statement, the\ngovernment and authority of Common Entrance Test (CET) said that COVID-19\nposititive students can also give CET exam with precautions and ensure that\nthey will follow the state government guide line  that government will give to the exam\nauthority so students will do not miss taking this crucial exam that will\ndecide their career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan said \u201cprecautions will be taken including seating arrangements for such\nstudents in separate exam halls. The candidates who are positive or those\nresiding in quarantine areas should inform authorities at the earliest and will\nbe ferried via ambulance to the centres. Such students will have to provide a\n\u2018risk consent\u2019 certificate and take all necessary precautions like masks and\ngloves\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cThe state government that successfully\nconducted second PUC (pre-university) and SSLC (10th grade) exams even amid the\ncovid-19 crisis will now conduct the CET exams on 30 and 31 July,”\nAshwathnarayan, who is also Karnataka\u2019s minister for Higher Education among\nother portfolios said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minister said to that there are over 1.94\nlakh students who will be allowed to take the exams in 497 centres across 120\nplaces across the state. The exams would be held from 10.30 am to 11.50 am as\nwell as 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm, according to a statement from the deputy chief\nminister\u2019s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes 40,200 students in Bengaluru.\nThere are at least 30 students from other countries, Ashwathnarayan said. Over\n1.3 lakh forms have been downloaded online, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minister said that all precautions will be\ntaken including screening, masks, sanitisation of facilities and social\ndistancing measures. All transport and other arrangements including ambulances\nwill be onsite these centres, the minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ashwathnarayan said that this year all CET\ncounselling and other processes will be done online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students coming from other states will be\nallowed to write the exams in centres near the border areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The post graduate CET or PG-CET exams, however,\nhas been advanced, the minister said.Top of Form<\/p>\n\n\n\n
