DU Admission First Cut-Off;<\/strong> The University of Delhi is the country’s premier university, with a long history and international acclaim for its high academic standards, diverse educational programmes, distinguished faculty, illustrious alumni, a diverse range of co-curricular activities, and cutting-edge infrastructure. The University has maintained the highest global standards and best practices in higher education over its many years of existence. Established by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly in 1922 as a unitary, teaching, and residential university, the University’s strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and social outreach has made it a role model and trendsetter for other universities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Delhi University (DU) will begin its undergraduate (UG)\nadmissions process today, 4 October, based on the first cut-off list. The\nprocedure will be carried out online because the university has advised\nstudents not to visit the campus. On October 1, the university released its\nfirst cut-off list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The admissions process will be open until 11:59 p.m. on\nOctober 6. According to the schedule, interested students should register on\nthe university admission portal where they submitted their application forms. Colleges\nwill complete their admissions approval by 5.00 p.m. on October 7. The deadline\nfor fee payment is October 8 at 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are giving students enough time to apply and pay their\nfees. As a result, they should exercise caution and avoid being in a hurry.\nBefore cancelling their admission, students should reconsider the situation.\n\u201cBecause seats are limited and cut-offs are quite high, they should not cancel\ntheir admission,\u201d said Professor Rajeev Gupta, chairman of the university’s Admissions\nCommittee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, nearly 70,000 seats are available.\nEight colleges have made their cut-offs for ten programmes or courses public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, according to university rules, a candidate may\nenrol in only one programme at a college during the specified cut-off date. It\nis not permitted to select multiple programmes and colleges in a single\ncut-off. Furthermore, the university stated that no changes to the chosen\nprogramme or college will be permitted during a specific cut-off period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing the admissions and fee payment procedures,\ncandidates will be required to sign an online declaration form stating that the\ninformation provided by them is correct. During the admissions process, a\nnon-refundable cancellation fee of Rs 1,000 will be levied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DU Guidelines for\nApplication <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The DU has issued admissions guidelines that state that a\ncandidate may choose only one programme in a college during a specific cutoff\ndate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“During a specific cutoff, no changes to the chosen\nprogramme college will be permitted. Only through the candidate’s dashboard can\nthe candidate choose a programme college. During the admissions process, no\nphysical visits to colleges\/universities are required “According to the\nguidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the application is received, the colleges review it\nalong with the uploaded documents to ensure that it is eligible and meets the\nrequired cut-off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colleges verify documents at various stages \u2013 the programme\ndirector or teacher-in-charge of the respective colleges will verify the\nminimum qualifications and cut-off requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The admission convenor then rechecks the candidature and\napproves or rejects it, and finally, the principal approves or rejects it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In the event that necessary documents are missing, the\nrespective college will contact the candidate via their registered email\naddress\/phone number so that they can be provided directly to the college. All\ncolleges will assign an email address to receive documents\/clarifications from\ncandidates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the candidate does not respond or if the documents are\ninsufficient by the specified date\/time, the candidature will be rejected for\nthe reasons listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The university assured that no application would be left\nunresolved and that the college principal would either approve or reject it\n(citing reasons).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the guidelines, “if any candidate is\ndissatisfied with the reason for rejection (as stated by the college), a\ngrievance may be registered with the College Grievance Redressal Committee via\ne-mail available on the respective college’s website.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“If any of the information I provide is found to be\nfalse and\/or is not supported by the documents I present, I understand that my\nadmission will be terminated immediately and no fees will be refunded. I will\nabide by all University and College rules and regulations.” Please read\nthe declaration carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The uploaded documents will be physically verified by\ncolleges within the time frame specified by the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it is discovered at any stage that the information\nprovided by the candidate is “false\/incorrect\/fabricated\/ing\u00e9nue and\/or is\nnot supported by the documents presented,” the admission will be cancelled\nimmediately without a fee refund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changing\ncourses\/Cancelling application<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although a candidate isn’t permissible to change his\/her\nprogramme and faculty when applying, she\/he could apply in resultant cutoff\nlists to make sure her\/his eligibility and programme and faculty cutoff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A candidate who ‘applied’ in an exceedingly cut-off and\nwhose admission was ‘Approved by Principal’ in a specific programme faculty,\nhowever, didn’t pay the fees and needs to hunt admission in any resultant\ncut-off should “cancel” his\/her antecedently approved application and\nre-apply for a programme faculty combination, continuance the method. “A\nnon-refundable cancellation fee of $1,000 is going to be assessed,” the\nrules state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
