Tamil Nadu Board exam

There are 9 lakh students who had registered to appear for the 10+2 examination out of it, 799717 students had appeared for the exam. Due to COVID-19 lockdown effect, papers of a few subjects left, so the government wanted to conduct that pending paper re-exam from 27th July 2020. The examination of the pending 10+2 paper could not be conducted due to COVID-19 situation. The Tamil Nadu government had announced that, will conduct the re-examination for, 34864 absent students in the 10+2 final exam but found that 671 students were only absent in one subject rest of the absent in whole subjects. The Tamil Nadu government had cancelled the SSLC and 10+1 examination due to COVID-19.

District-wise, in TN 10th result, Kanyakumari has shown the best result as 97.22% of students of the region have been successful in clearing the exam. In contrast, with only 81.25% of students passing the exam, Dindigul is the worst-performing region. In class 12 or TN +2 results, Perambalur was the best performing district with 97.95% of students clearing the exam, while Vellore is the lowest-performing district with 86.69%.

In the first, both the results are being declared on the same day. This is the first result of the pandemic. In the last two years, Tamil Nadu has been declaring students passed on the basis of alternative assessment mode, making it the first time students have appeared for the written test ever since the pandemic hit India in 2020. The provisional mark sheet will be available for 90 days only.

Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Ambil Mahesh Poyyamozhi announced the SSLC and +2 result. Of the 8,06,277 students who appeared in the Class 12 exam, 93.76% have cleared it, while in Class 10, the overall pass percentage is at a five-year low with 90.1% out of 9,12,620 students.

TN Board 10th 12th Result, Stream-wise, Science has emerged as the top-performing stream. 95.51% students passed Science stream (97.02% girls and 93.72% boys passed Science 12th exam as compared to boys). The pass percentage in commerce was 92.51%, in arts 85.13%. Only 84.26% pass percentage with vocational worst performance. A total of 65 students have scored more than 495 out of 500 in class 10, while in class 12, 656 students have scored 591+ out of 600.

TN Board 10th 12th Result, The pass percentage of girls is higher than that of boys as 96.32 percent of girls who appeared for the exam have passed while the pass percentage of boys is 90.96 percent. This is in line with the general trend. In 2020 too, 89.4% boys and 94.8% girls had passed, while in 2019 the pass percentage of girls was 93.6% and that of boys was 88.6%. This year, 3,49,893 boys and 4,06,105 girls have cleared the Tamil Nadu 12th general examination.

TN +2 Results 2022: Govt Schools Perform Worse Than Private

In the comparison between private and government schools, it is private and self-funded which has performed better. Among government schools, class 12th pass percentage is lowest at 89.06%, while in government-aided schools, 94.87% pass percentage. In self-financed schools, the pass percentage is 99.15%. 94.05 percent students passed in co-educational schools. The pass percentage in girls’ and boys’ schools stood at 96.37 percent and 86.60 percent respectively.

Tamil Nadu +2 Results: 93.76% Students Passed

In Tamil Nadu Class 12 Common Examination, a total of 8,06,277 students appeared. Of these, 3,84,655 were boys and 4,21,622 were girls. The pass percentage in class 12 results is lower than last year, however, it is better than the pre-pandemic level. 93.76 percent students passed TN +2. This is less than 100%, however, higher than in 2020, 2019 and 2018, when 92.3%, 91.3% and 91.1% students passed respectively.

TN +2, SSLC Results: Series of Firsts

Delayed Result: This is the first time that TN +2 or TN SSLC results are being declared in June. For years, Tamil Nadu has been declaring the result in May. In 2019, however, the result was declared in April, while from 2015 to 2018 the results have been declared in May.

Pass percentage to dip: Tamil Nadu has seen the longest pass percentage increase, this is likely to be untrue this year.
