West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) conducting Uccha Madhyamik that is 10+2 examination in West Bengal (WB) every year. WBCHSE conducted 10+2 examination in March 2020 but due to COVID-19 lockdown was imposed in country and all 14 subjects exam could not conducted. There are 761583 students had appeared Uccha Madhyamic (10+2) examination in 2020, out of it 680057 cleared the exam.

This year merit list did not released by WBCHSE due to COVID-19 pandemic. The president of WBCHSE Mohua Das that the topper of 10+2 exam scored 99.80% marks. “As there is no merit list, we cannot announce the names of rank holders. However our data shows that 99.80 (499 out of 500 marks) is the highest marks received by the topper,” said Das.

The total passing percentages of students are 90.13%, it is better than last year. Last year passing percentage was 86.29%. The passing percentage of science stream is 98.83% is highest follow by commerce passing percentage is 92.22% and arts steam passing percentage is 88.74%. The boys students passing percentage is more that girls students. The passing percentage of boys stood at 90.44% while girls passing percentage is 90% and the passing percentage of minority students are 86.76%.
