History of VIT
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) was established under Section 3 of the University Subventions Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, and was innovated in 1984 as a tone-backing institution called the Vellore Engineering College. The Union Ministry of Human Coffers Development conferred University status on Vellore Engineering College in 2001. The University is headed by its author and Chancellor,Dr.G. Viswanathan, a former Parliamentarian and Minister in the Tamil Nadu Government. What is VITEEE
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is Conducted Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) every year for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Courses (B.Tech) of the participating institutes. Every year, VITEEE is conducted to enroll students in various undergraduate courses. Every year, around two lakh students apply for VITEEE. All eligible candidates will be offered admission to B.Tech programs at VIT Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amaravati. From 2018, the university is also offering admission to BDS (Industrial Design) through VITEEE. The number of seats and the mode of selection is purely at the discretion of the management.

Admission Process of VIT
- The selection for admission in VIT universities is based on the rank obtained through CBT (Computer Based Test) of VITEEE 2022.
- Selected candidates will be called for online counseling on the basis of their ranking in VITEEE 2022 exam (or JEE Main Authority decision).
- Qualified candidates can select the specific campus and program during counselling also.
- Classes will be conducted online after payment of full fee / reported in person to the institution due to Covid.

VITEEE 2022 exam Application Form
The officials of VITEEE have released the application form of VITEEE 2022 online. While registering for VITEEE 2022, candidates need to fill their details and also provide their email ID. Once they complete this task, they have to confirm their password and fill the complete application form for VITEEE 2022. Candidates are advised to pay extra attention while entering their Date of Birth (DOB) and other information in the application form of VITEEE. Application Fee Rs.1250/- (Inclusive of GST) – For General Candidates Pay Online Through Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card/Paytm. NRI students have to pay 50 USD through online mode as application fee of VITEEE.
VITEEE 2022 exam application form has been released online by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) on the official website viteee.vit.ac.in/. There is only application form window got open, other dates still not announced by VITEEE. Candidates must fill and submit the VITEEE Application Form 2022 before the last date which will be announced soon. The official of VITEEE 2022 Exam, other dates and details are expected to release anytime soon. For admission to the participating campuses, VITEEE 2022 will be conducted for all eligible registered candidates. Before registering for VITEEE 2022, candidates are advised to check the official eligibility criteria. After the examination is over, the VITEEE 2022 result will be declared on the official website. VITEEE 2022 exam Eligibility
Nationality:
- Applicant should be a resident/Non-resident Indian citizen/PIO.
- Foreign candidates studying/studying abroad may apply directly through foreign category only at admissions.vit.ac.in/irapplicationug/.
Age Limits
- The aspirant date of birth should be on or after 1st July 2000 to be eligible to apply for VITEEE 2022 exam for admission in UG Engineering Admission (UGEA) 2022.
- The date of birth should mention on the authentic certificates provided by government authority like High School / SSC / X certificate. Candidates must have to produce this certificate of mention date of birth in original as proof of the age of the candidate at the time of counselling/admission, failing which they will be disqualified.
Qualifying Examination for VITEEE 2022
The aspirant for VITEEE 2022 applying for UG engineering admission (UGEA) should have either completed or appeared in any one of the following qualifying examinations in 2022:
- The candidates should be final examination of 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), Indian Council for the School Certificate Examinations (ISCE), New Delhi.
- Candidates should be in Intermediate or Two Year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
- Candidates should have High School Certificate Examination of the University of Cambridge or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the Office of International Baccalaureate, Geneva.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination at Advanced (A) Level (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka).
- The Vellor Institute of Technology (VIT) norms, regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for undergraduate engineering programmes. Applicants should produce Migration cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining the institute.
- They should also provide the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and aggregate (including all subjects) and upload the scanned copy of the mark sheet and other relevant documents as and when available on the application form.
- If Candidates are NRI/ Indian citizens/PIO cardholder, the appearance of VITEEE-2022 exam is mandatory to be eligible for B.Tech. Admission under regular mode (exempted to applicants under International/NRI quota). If VITEEE gets canceled due to natural calamities, the qualifying criteria can be substituted with higher secondary marks or JEE-22 or a valid SAT. In such case applicants will be informed with specifics.
Eligibility Criteria For The Qualifying Examination:
- If Candidates are applying for undergraduate engineering admission in 2022 must have secured minimum 55% marks in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.
- Candidates applying for Undergraduate Engineering Admission in 2022 must have passed the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) with minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology for the following categories:
- If Candidates belonging to SC/ST
- If Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir/ Ladakh and North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. At the time of counselling, a certificate to prove community/nativeness should be produced, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

systems of classification. Salient features and classification of non-chordates up to phyla levels
and chordates up to class levels. Morphology and anatomy of flowering plants. Structural

2. Cell and Molecular Biology
Cell theory. Prokaryotic cell and it’s ultrastructure. Eukaryotic cell- cell wall, cell membrane,

VITEEE 2022 Exam Result
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) will announce the VITEEE 2022 result on the official website. The marks and rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance test can be checked through VITEEE result. To access VITEEE Result 2022, candidates need to log in using their application number and password. It is to be noted that VITEEE result will be available in online mode only. Candidates will be assessed for admission on the basis of their VIT results.
VITEEE 2022 Exam Counseling
VITEEE 2022 counseling dates will be announced soon. All the qualified candidates will have to participate in the counseling process to be allotted to the B.Tech courses offered by the VIT campuses. During VIT 2022 counselling, candidates have to register, select their choice. Produce documents for verification and confirm their admission once allotted. The officials will allot the students on the basis of their rank, preference and availability of seats. The admission is to be confirmed after the allotment of seat to students after result will announce.
