All India Institute of Medical Sciences Post Graduation Entrance Exam, AIIMS PG 2020 for January session will be conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi on November 17, 2019. AIIMS PG is a National Level Entrance Examination conducted for admission into Post Graduate Courses like Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and MCh courses. This exam is conducted two times a year for the session held in January and July. The exams for these two sessions are conducted in the month of November and May respectively. AIIMS PG exam is conducted in online mode.
AIIMS PG application form 2020 can be filled in two stages – basic registration and final registration. The Basic Registration was started on 29th June 2019. The Final registration for the same has been started on September 27, 2019, by the regulatory body. Candidates can fill the form till October 11, 2019. It is necessary to check the details regarding eligibility criteria before filling the form because anyone found ineligible later will be not allowed for further processing. AIIMS PG’s Information Brochure has been released by the authority which includes all the details related to changes in the number of exam cities, total seats, EWS quota and it also contains information regarding the AIIMS PG 2020 important dates for January session.
AIIMS PG 2020 will be conducted for admission to as many as 548 MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh seats offered by seven AIIMS institutes which are located in New Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Raipur, Patna, Jodhpur, and Rishikesh. The exam for this session will be conducted in 68 major cities in India. 10% seats from the total seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) as per the Prospectus of AIIMS PG 2020.

AIIMS PG MD/MS Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a College or Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India.
- All candidates are required to complete their rotatory internship of one year.
- Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories (including PwD General) are required to secure an aggregate of 55% in the MBBS exam. And candidates belonging to SC/ST category (including PwD SC/ST) must obtain 50% in aggregate.
AIIMS PG MDS Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must possess a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)degree from a College or Institution recognized by Dental Council of India
- All candidates are required to complete their rotatory internship of one year.
- Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories (including PwD General) are required to obtain an aggregate of 55% in the BDS exam. And candidates belonging to SC/ST category (including PwD SC/ST) must obtain 50% in aggregate.
AIIMS PG application form 2020 can be filled in two stages – basic registration and final registration. In the basic registration, aspirants have to enter their personal details. And they have to upload scanned images of passport size photograph and signature. The result of the AIIMS PG 2020 January session will be announced on November 22, 2019, in online mode. The result will be available in the form of the AIIMS PG merit list. It will contain the roll number, total as well as subject-wise percentile score secured, All India Rank and other counseling details. The counseling session will start in the first week of December.
