COMEDK is the consortium of private medical, dental and engineering colleges and universities in Karnataka conducting Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) every year since 2004-05 for admission in the member colleges. It is autonomous institution consisting of reputed education administrative and senior academicians who have been well know personality and associated with education eco system for long time. COMEDK formed in 2004 in Karnataka by Karnataka Profession College Foundation (KPCF) Medical, Dental and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering College Association (KUPECA).
COMEDK conduction UGET for last 15 years and organizing single window centralize counseling process for admission in their member colleges. Hon’ble Supreme Court has appreciated as the of model examination conducted by COMEDK, all the Government appointed Admission Overseeing Committees.

There are 16 Medical, 24 Dental and around 190 Engineering Colleges member of COMEDK and accepting exam score for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. COMEDK is annual online national level entrance exam conducting once in a year for admission in medical, dental and engineering undergraduate and post graduate courses.
COMEDK had postponed the examination date twice in this pandemic year due to COVID-19 crisis. Earlier COMEDK authority announced that they will conduct the examination national level on AUGUST 1, 2020 but due to critical situation in Karnataka of COVID-19 cases again the examination date got postpone. According to COMEDK website the new announcement is
“For the current academic year 2020-21, COMEDK would conduct an online examination all over India on Saturday, the 19th August 2020, across 300 centers for Engineering programs which offer around 20000 seats and will be followed by online counseling”.
