The admission session in universities has started. Due to COVID-19 all universities has extended the admission process for in undergraduate and post graduate courses for academic session 2020. Delhi University announced the first cut off for admission in undergraduate courses and in single day all admission got fill. There are 563000 aspirants have applied for UG courses in Delhi University for admission in academic session 2020 that is highest in last 3 years. The process is full online and 285128 application received from CBSE board students back ground that is maximum and 12272 from Haryana boars and 11,521 from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations and rest applications from different state and other boards. The highest 142526 applications received from Delhi and 66657 application received from Uttar Pradesh and 50701 applications received from Haryana and rest applications from other states.

Delhi University announced first cut off for admission in undergraduate courses in 10th October 2020. The admission started date for merit based between 12th to 14th October 2020 and the payment date for first merit list admission is 16th October 2020. All the process doing online due to covid-19 pandemic. The second cut off will announced on 17th October 2020.

Delhi University’s undergraduate admission of first cut-off list ended at 5 pm on the same day 14th October 2020. The Delhi University undergraduate admission first cut-off list has been closed on Wednesday with the varsity approving 37.14 per cent of over 59,000 applications. Delhi University official said that this was the first time that the entire admission process was online due to the current COVID-19 pandemic

As reported by the PTI and the data shared by the varsity, out of 59,730 applications, it has so far approved 22,186 applications, while 11,248 aspirants have paid the fees.

The second cut-off is likely to be announced on Saturday that will be 17th October 2020, on the basis of which admissions will begin on Monday 19th October 2020. Most top colleges are likely to have a majority of their courses open in the second round of admissions, but with only a marginal dip in cut-offs.
