DU has started their Admission on Monday with the primary Cut-off

The Delhi University (DU) will begin its undergraduate (UG) admissions process today, 4 October, based on the first cut-off list. The procedure will be carried out online because the university has advised students not to visit the campus. On October 1, the university released its first cut-off list.

The admissions process will be open until 11:59 p.m. on October 6. According to the schedule, interested students should register on the university admission portal where they submitted their application forms. Colleges will complete their admissions approval by 5.00 p.m. on October 7. The deadline for fee payment is October 8 at 5:00 p.m.

“We are giving students enough time to apply and pay their fees. As a result, they should exercise caution and avoid being in a hurry. Before cancelling their admission, students should reconsider the situation. “Because seats are limited and cut-offs are quite high, they should not cancel their admission,” said Professor Rajeev Gupta, chairman of the university’s Admissions Committee.

According to reports, nearly 70,000 seats are available. Eight colleges have made their cut-offs for ten programmes or courses public.

Meanwhile, according to university rules, a candidate may enrol in only one programme at a college during the specified cut-off date. It is not permitted to select multiple programmes and colleges in a single cut-off. Furthermore, the university stated that no changes to the chosen programme or college will be permitted during a specific cut-off period.

After completing the admissions and fee payment procedures, candidates will be required to sign an online declaration form stating that the information provided by them is correct. During the admissions process, a non-refundable cancellation fee of Rs 1,000 will be levied.

DU Guidelines for Application

The DU has issued admissions guidelines that state that a candidate may choose only one programme in a college during a specific cutoff date.

“During a specific cutoff, no changes to the chosen programme college will be permitted. Only through the candidate’s dashboard can the candidate choose a programme college. During the admissions process, no physical visits to colleges/universities are required “According to the guidelines.

When the application is received, the colleges review it along with the uploaded documents to ensure that it is eligible and meets the required cut-off.

Colleges verify documents at various stages – the programme director or teacher-in-charge of the respective colleges will verify the minimum qualifications and cut-off requirement.

The admission convenor then rechecks the candidature and approves or rejects it, and finally, the principal approves or rejects it.

“In the event that necessary documents are missing, the respective college will contact the candidate via their registered email address/phone number so that they can be provided directly to the college. All colleges will assign an email address to receive documents/clarifications from candidates.

If the candidate does not respond or if the documents are insufficient by the specified date/time, the candidature will be rejected for the reasons listed below.

The university assured that no application would be left unresolved and that the college principal would either approve or reject it (citing reasons).

According to the guidelines, “if any candidate is dissatisfied with the reason for rejection (as stated by the college), a grievance may be registered with the College Grievance Redressal Committee via e-mail available on the respective college’s website.”

“If any of the information I provide is found to be false and/or is not supported by the documents I present, I understand that my admission will be terminated immediately and no fees will be refunded. I will abide by all University and College rules and regulations.” Please read the declaration carefully.

The uploaded documents will be physically verified by colleges within the time frame specified by the university.

If it is discovered at any stage that the information provided by the candidate is “false/incorrect/fabricated/ingénue and/or is not supported by the documents presented,” the admission will be cancelled immediately without a fee refund.

Changing courses/Cancelling application

Although a candidate isn’t permissible to change his/her programme and faculty when applying, she/he could apply in resultant cutoff lists to make sure her/his eligibility and programme and faculty cutoff.
