NTA has postponed the NEET Exam 2020 due to COVID-19

National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed for postponing the NEET Exam 2020. This is the official announcement after the lockdown of the country. Due to COVID-19 many board exams postponed. The NTA will announce new dates only when the lockdown is canceled and new schedules are released. See official information about NEET 2020 here at nta.ac.in. The 21-day national lock will have a serious impact on the current schedule. Although not yet announced, the National Testing Agency will, perhaps most likely, postpone the NEET 2020 exam as well.

Please note that it is too early to suggest that the exam be postponed. However, given the current scenario, there is an increased possibility of pushing the exam by June. All students are advised to use this time for practicing the Medical Entrance Examination. Any decision to postpone or not to post the NEET 2020 exam will be updated on this page, as and when announced. The new date will be announced by the agency after the lockdown is lifted on April 15, 2020. It has been decided to ensure that NEET 2020 examination will not appear in any other examination.

Admit Card Updates of NEET

The admit card for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will not be issued on March 27, 2020, as written in the National Testing Agency prospectus. As per the latest report of the sources, due to the nationwide lockdown issued by the government, DG NTA has also postponed the release of NEET Admit Card. New dates are likely to be announced after the lockout.

Everyone is advised to check the examination schedule on the official website ntaneet.nic.in as well as the admit card of NEET for the latest updates for the NEET 2020 exam. Further, even if the agency does not postpone the examination, the admit cards can only be issued after April 15, after the schedule of other examinations has been released.

It may be noted that in 2016 and 2017, NEET was held in the month of June. Dates were withheld to ensure that the counseling process was carried out smoothly and on time. Experts suggest that even though due to unavoidable circumstances, NEET 2020 is held in June, the admission process can still be completed on time to ensure no loss of the academic year.
