Additional Solicitor General KM Natraj assured the Supreme Court that counseling for NEET PG will not start until the court decides on the validity of the Centre’s decision to introduce OBC and EWS reservations.
A bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and BV Nagarathna said that if counseling takes place before the court’s decision, “students will face a serious problem”.
“We will take your word for it then, so long as the students are not counselled. We will take your word that counselling is not starting till we decide one way or the other. Students will be in a serious problem otherwise…” Justice Chandrachud said.
Meanwhile, doctors have expressed disappointment due to delay in the counseling process. He has raised his issue on the social media microblogging website Twitter.
