OP Jindal Global University ; O.P Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University), is a private university located in Sonipat, National Capital Region (India). It was founded in 2009 by its founder Chancellor Naveen Jindal, his father O.P. Jindal’s memory as a philanthropic initiative. OP Jindal Global University Ranking
The university was ranked 751-800 in the QS World Rankings 2020, becoming the youngest university to enter the ranking. JGLS, and the National Law School of India, Bangalore, were the only two Indian law schools to make it to the rankings. In the 2021 edition of the QS World University Rankings, JGU was ranked among the top 651-700 universities across the world. This ranked JGU as the highest ranked private university in India. As a result of being established in 2009, JGU was also ranked in the QS Top 150 under 50 ranking in 2020 as well as in 2021. Jindal Law School is ranked 76th out of all law schools in the world in the QS World Ranking 2021.
The university was again ranked as the No. 1 private university in India in the QS World Ranking 2022. The university has also been given the status of Institute of Eminence by the Government of India in 2020.

Student Initiatives
The OP Jindal University has a healthy culture of student engagement and student-led initiatives. It includes an active social service society, legal aid clinics, a Rotaract club, and several cultural societies. The university also organizes two annual festivals: the cultural festival Biswamil in the fall semester and the sports festival Magnus in the spring semester.

The clinic also wrote to the Union Law Minister when three eco-advocacy websites were banned in India.
Moot Court Society
The university has a student-run society for moot court competitions and regularly participates in national and international competitions.
