XLRI Summer Placements 2019-21: Process for 361 Students Over in 2 Days with Highest Stipend of Rs. 2.5 LPA

XLRI- Xavier School of Management has completed its Summer Internship Placement process within 2 days. The highest stipend offered to an MBA student of XLRI was 2.5 lakh monthly. This highest stipend offered in the BFSI sector (Banking, financial services, and insurance). The roles like Front End Investment Banking, Global and Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Global Markets, Retail Banking, etc. are offered in the BFSI Sector. As per last years’ figures, the average stipend increased by 12.15%. The average stipend rose to 1.2 Lakh per month from 1.07 Lakh per month in 2018. XLRI has mentioned in a statement that it has completed the summer internship placement process for Batch 2019-2021. This batch consists of 361 students and has achieved 100% placement in just two days.

The XLRI also mentioned that 11 first time recruiters have participated in the placement process this year. A total of 86 recruiters participated in the process. These recruiters offered various roles in various areas. Amazon is the core recruiter this year as it made the highest number of offers amongst various other regular recruiters.  Some of the regular recruiters of XLRI who offered different roles in different areas except Amazon are Nestle, The Boston Consulting Group, Aditya Birla Group, Microsoft, Mondelez, P&G, ITC, Hindustan Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra, Citibank, and many others.  The new and the First-time participants of the summer internship placement process are Bain & Co., Adani Group, Diageo, NIIF, Kornferry, PhonePe, Mars and Udaan, amongst others.

Fr. P. Christie S.J., Director of XLRI- Xavier School of Management commented, “This has been a good year for summer recruitments. We are extremely grateful to all the recruiters for showing belief in the XLRI institutional brand and our students”.

As per the information provided by XLRI, Consulting firms extended their offers to 16 percent of the candidates.  Sales & Marketing and the BFSI sector together offered various roles to 40 percent of the candidates and 17 percent of the roles are offered to Business Management students. XLRI stated that “XLRI has also established itself as a campus preferred by FMCGs”. This year a massive increase in offers of E-commerce sector was seen. Amazon is the key recruiter from this sector. Active participation of the Steel giants, Tata Steel and JSW had been seen along with the regular recruiters from the automotive sector like Bajaj.
