MAT 2019 APPLICATION FORM FOR DECEMBER SESSION HAS BEEN RELEASED BY AIMA

Management Aptitude Test, commonly known as MAT is a national level Entrance Exam which facilitates Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and other management programs. MAT is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association) for admission to the MBA and PGDM program of various colleges spread across the country. This exam is conducted in both online (computer-based mode) and offline (paper-based mode). MAT is organized four times a year in the month of February, May, September, and December. There are more than 600 colleges in India accepting MAT scores for admission to their Management program.

Application form for MAT 2019 December session has been released by AIMA (All India Management Association) on October 4, 2019. The Last date of registration for the PBT (Paper Based Test) mode MAT 2019 Exam is December 1, 2019, and the Last date of registration for the CBT (Computer Based Test) mode exam is December 6, 2019. Admit card for it will be available for download from December 2, 2019, for PBT mode and December 10, 2019, for CBT mode. The exam for both modes will be conducted by the authority on different dates. Paper-based Test of MAT 2019 December session is scheduled on December 8, 2019, and Computer Based Test is scheduled on December 14, 2019.

MAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the eligibility conditions laid by the authority for appearing in MAT 2019 Exam because ineligibility may lead to cancellation of admission later. Following are the criteria for appearing in MAT 2019.

  • The candidate should have completed his/her graduation from a recognized university.
  • Final year appearing candidates can also apply for MAT 2019.
  • Those candidates who have completed a professional degree such as CA, CS or ICWA are also eligible for MAT exam.

MAT 2019 Application Process

The MAT Registration process has been started from October 4, 2019.  Candidates can fill the application form for the paper-based test till December 1, 201 and for a computer-based test, the last date is December 6, 2019. MAT 2019 exam will be conducted on December 8, 2019, for the candidates who have selected a paper-based test and the candidates who have selected a computer-based Test can give the exam on December 14, 2019.

Following are the steps to register for MAT 2019 (December Session)

  • Visit the official website of MAT and click on “New user”.
  • Enter all the details required there and set a password.
  • Now recheck the details and click on submit button
  • As soon as the Candidate clicks on submit, he/she will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number.
  • Now, log in again to complete the other details.
  • Fill the required details like mode of Test-CBT or PBT, select test city, other personal details, communication address et.
  • Now select test centers, a maximum of four test centers can be selected.
  • Upload scanned passport size photo and your signature
  • The last step is a payment. Credit card/ Debit Card or net banking can be used for payment.
  • After payment, Take a few print outs of the confirmation page for future reference.

MAT 2019 Exam Pattern

The pattern of the exam has been drawn up by AIMA. The exam is conducted by AIMA in both online as well as offline mode. Any candidates can choose any mode PBT (Paper Based Test) or CBT (Computer Based Test) as per his/her comfort. There are a total of 200 Questions that have to be completed 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes).  The question paper is divided into five sections namely Indian and Global Environment, Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence, and Critical Reasoning. 40 questions are asked from each section. Objective type questions are asked in the exam which contains four choices each. Maximum marks of the paper are 200. 1 mark is awarded for each right answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt. No marks will be given for answered questions.

MAT 2019 Admit Card

Admit card is the most important and crucial document. Candidates are not allowed to sit in the examination if they don’t possess the Admit Card. MAT 2019 Admit Card for December session will be available for download from December 2, 2019, for paper-based mode and Admit card for the computer-based test will be available from December 10, 2019. The MAT 2019 admit card can be downloaded only in online mode from the official website of AIMA MAT. A hard copy of the admit card will not be provided by AIMA to any candidate. Admit Card contains information regarding the name of the candidate, photograph of the candidate, Candidate’s Signature, Exam Date, the name of the venue and address, etc. Candidate must check all the detail carefully just after downloading it and must contact the concerned authority in case of discrepancy.

MAT 2019 Test Centers

MAT has tested numerous Test centers spread across the country. Test cities for Paper-Based Test (PBT) and Computer Based Test (CBT) are different and candidates have to select the test centers as per the availability of the test centers. Test centers will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of their test mode and their preference.

MAT 2019 Result for December Session

MAT 2019 Result for December session will be announced in the last week of December 2019.  Candidates can check the result on the official website of the AIMA MAT. The result will be available in online mode. Candidates need to enter their Registration Number and Roll Number to check their results. AIMA does not provide any hard copy of the result candidates have to download the resulting from the official website. Candidates can send the scores to their preferred institute for admission. MAT scores are valid for only one year. More than 600 B-Schools in India accept MAT scores for Admission to their Management program.
