IGNOU REGIONAL CENTRE
Regional Centres play a pivotal role in the support and collaboration with respective State Governments, focusing on promoting the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system within their State/region. They are entrusted with the establishment, development, maintenance, and monitoring of Learner Support Centres (LSCs). The University operates through an extensive network comprising 56 Regional Centres (RC), 11 Recognized Regional Centres (RRC) — including IGNOU-Army RRC, IGNOU-Navy RRC, and IGNOU-Assam Rifles RRC — along with close to 2000 Learner Support Centres across the country.
