JAG 2022 exam date; In India, the rank of Judge Advocate General (JAG) is held by a Major General who is the legal and judicial head of the Army. The Judge Advocate General is assisted by a separate JAG branch consisting of legally qualified military officers.
About the opportunity
Indian Army has published JAG 28th notification for JAG Entry 2022 (Judge Advocate General Branch). This is an exclusive entry for male and female law graduates to join the JAG branch of the Indian Army.
Eligibility:
Nationality: Candidate must be either:
a citizen of India, or
a theme of nepal,
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia, and Vietnam to settle permanently in India, provided that a candidate The person belonging to the second and third category above shall be the person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. However, the certificate of eligibility will not be necessary in case of candidates belonging to Gorkha Praja of Nepal.
Age Limit as on :
Age: 21 to 27 years as of 1 January 2022 (born not earlier than 2 January 1995 and not later than 1 January 2001; both dates inclusive).
Educational qualification:
Law Graduate (3 years / 5 years course) with minimum 55% aggregate marks.
Candidates must be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State OR
Candidate must be from a College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India
