Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar Campus
The mission of IIPHG is to strengthen the country’s health system by engaging in education, training, research, and advocacy/policy initiatives. Starting operations in Ahmedabad in July 2008, it launched its first batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM) sponsored by the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) for serving medical officers from Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. , Recognized as a university under the IIPHG Act 2015 by the Government of Gujarat, the institute’s state-of-the-art green campus is spread over 50 acres in Gandhinagar, with state-of-the-art research facilities and laboratories.
The permanent campus was inaugurated on 25 October, 2016 by Shri Vijaybhai Rupani, Honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat, ShriShankarbhaiChoudhary, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Gujarat and Shri N.R. This was done in the presence of Narayana Murthy.
