BITSAT Application 2022
Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) Pilani will tentatively publish the BITSAT 2022 Application Form in February 2022. BITSAT Exam Dates expected to release soon. BITSAT eligibility criteria for direct admission
In the direct admission of BITS eligibility criteria is that candidates who secure the first rank in the respective board exam of class 12, whether it is a state board or a central board, need not appear for BITSAT 2022. Under the BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2021 as mentioned in the prospectus that first ranker can take direct admission. If aspirant have secured minimum aggregate marks in the compulsory subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
For admission to any of the first degree program in BITS university criteria
- Candidates must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Central or State Board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates must have sufficient proficiency in English in both spoken and written.
- Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks each of the subject of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates must have minimum aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
Criteria for Admission in B.Pharm (Hons) courses
- Candidates must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Central or State Board with the following subjects that is Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates should have spoken and written sufficient proficiency in English. However, candidates having PCMB in class 12th can also apply for Pharmacy program at BITS campuses.
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 75% marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and Mathematics, if they are PCMB students) with at least one in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and Mathematics, if they are). Have at least 60% marks. PCMB students) subject.
- Only those students who are appearing for 12th class exam in 2021 or have passed in 2020 are eligible to appear in BITSAT 2021. There are only two attempts for the student.
- Students already studying in any BITS campus are not eligible for the exam.
- Admission is done purely on the basis of merit which is further based on the marks obtained by a student in the examination. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the minimum marks requirement in 12th examination, as mentioned above.

BITSAT Exam Pattern – Highlights
- There is no time limit for individual parts of BITSAT exam. The candidate can go back and change any of his answers from 150 questions.
- If a candidate answers all 150 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have the option to attempt 12 (twelve) additional questions, if there is still time left. These additional questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology only; Four questions from each part. Also, once the candidate has opted for additional questions, he/she cannot go back for correction of the 150 questions given earlier.
- The questions asked in the BITSAT paper will be designed in such a way that a good student will be able to answer 150 questions in 180 minutes. Additional questions (maximum 12) will give the highly meritorious candidates a chance to score higher. However, candidates should keep in mind the fact that there is negative marking for wrong answers and any attempt to answer the questions by taking pure guesses of the answers is not likely to be of any benefit, but will result in a reduction in the overall score.
- Candidates will also be able to check the score in online mode a day after the exam. The print out of the score can also be taken.
