CAT Result declared

The CAT Result has been announced on their official website portal with scorecard. In the official statement, it was stated: “Results for the CAT 2022 exam were released at 5 PM on December 21, 2022. Candidates can now access the “CAT 2022 Score Card Get” area and download their official CAT 2022 scorecards. Please log in with the same username and password that you used to register for CAT 2022.”

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 results will be made public by the Indian Institute of Management, IIM (Bangalore), in January 2023. On the official website, which can be accessed via the link iimcat.ac.in, all applicants can view their IIM CAT 2023 scorecards.

On November 27, 2022, CAT 2022 was administered at 293 exam centres dispersed throughout 154 Indian cities.

Up to 11 individuals, all of them are men, received a perfect score on the CAT 2022. Only 1 woman candidate of the 22 who received a 99.99 percentile was successful. Ten of the eleven guys who scored the highest on the management admission exam are not engineers. A total of 2.22 lakh students took the exam, with 35% of them being female, 65% being male, and 4 being transsexual.

Two questions from the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) portion from shifts 2 and 3 were reportedly eliminated from the final evaluation because they were deemed to be “ambiguous,” according to the official notification. 22 persons, including 16 engineers and 6 non-engineers, achieved the 99.99 percentile. Out of the 22 contenders, there was only one woman. Engineering is her field. For the fifth consecutive year, no female candidate was able to achieve a perfect score on the CAT exam. Nine individuals, all of them were male students, received the top percentile in 2021. Nine people had achieved the 100 percentile in 2020, and they were all men. The female category winner in 2019 achieved a 99.89 percentile. RounakMajumdar scored 100 percentile on the CAT 2018 exam, finishing ahead of all female candidates. Twenty candidates received 100% in 2017, and two of the top 20 were women.

CAT 2022 Result: Two questions missed in final cut off calculation

As per the official notification, two questions from Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) section from Shift 2 and Shift 3 have been dropped from the final evaluation as the questions were evaluated as ‘Vague’.

CAT 2022: No girl topper for fifth consecutive year

This is the fifth year in a row that no female candidate has managed to score 100 percentile in CAT exam. In 2021, a total of 9 candidates scored 100 percentile, all of whom were male students. In 2020, a total of 9 candidates scored 100 percentile and all of them were male. In 2019, the female topper had scored 99.89 per cent. Raunak Mazumdar had topped CAT 2018 with 100 percentile, with no women in the top positions. In 2017, 20 candidates had scored 100 per cent and the top 20 included women candidates.

CAT percentile score

CAT candidates get marks in percentile and not in percentage. The overall scaled score is the sum of the scaled scores of the candidate in the three sections. Percentile refers to the percentage of candidates who obtain a scaled score less than or equal to the scaled score obtained by the candidate.

90 non-IIM institutes will use CAT 2022 score this year

This year a total of 90 non-IIM institutes will also be using CAT 2022 score for admission to their management programmes. The details of non-IIM institutes registered in CAT 2022 are available on the CAT 2022 website.

CAT CUT-OFF

Along with the results, the CAT 2022 sectional cut-off is also made public. IIMs, however, have distinct cut-off standards and publish their own separate cut-offs. Admission for CAT 2022 is handled appropriately. Candidates can view the anticipated cut-off for CAT 2022 below.

CAT 2022 IIM Cut off

The 95-100 percent CAT cut offs for admission to the IIMs in 2022 are anticipated for all categories. For students in the General category, the CAT 2022 cut off percentage for the best IIMs is anticipated to range between 98 and 100%. For students in the reserved group, the cutoffs can be lower.

Two questions from the DILR section will not be taken into consideration for review, according to the CAT Committee, who judged them to be confusing.
