CUET2022  Exam; Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an all-India examination conducted by NTA for admission to various programs of participating central universities and some other universities. It provides a single-window opportunity for the students to take admitted to these participating universities across the country, making the admission more streamlined, and student-friendly and eliminating entrance examinations of various difficulty levels.

About CUET Exam

On April 6, 2022, National Testing Agency (NTA) invited online applications for Common University Entrance Test (CUET-2022). CUET-UG will be conducted for admission to undergraduate courses in central universities for the academic year 2022-23.

National Testing Agency (NTA) is an autonomous body, which was set up by the Ministry of Education under the Department of Higher Education. It will conduct the CUET exam, host the answer key, invite challenges, declare the result and host the scorecard.

CUET 2022 Highlights

CUET application process was originally scheduled to open on April 2 2022, but it was postponed till April 6, 2022. The CUET is a computer-based test held in 13 language mediums of examination namely Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia, and English. Among all these languages, students can choose one for the exam.

CUET 2022 Participating Institutions

CUET will be a compulsory entrance test for universities established under an Act of Parliament and under the control and purview of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. In 2009, Parliament passed the Central Universities Act, which paved the way for the creation of 16 central universities in addition to the existing universities to give representation to all states.

At present, 44 central and 28 other universities admit students to their UG, PG and integrated courses through a national-level entrance test called Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Recently, the Executive Council of the University of Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi has also approved that admission to all Under-Graduate (UG) courses for the academic session 2022-23 will be done through CUET.

CUET 2022 Eligibility

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CUET 2022 Exam eligibility criteria along with the information brochure on its official website. Candidates are advised to read the CUET 2022 eligibility criteria carefully, before applying for the exam. Candidates must be clear that the CUET eligibility criteria for 2022 may vary depending on the institutes and courses. Any candidate who fails to fulfill the CUET eligibility 2022 will also be disqualified at the later stage of admission.

CUET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

As per the latest announcement by the Ministry of Education, admission in all central universities will be done through CUET. For candidates aiming for admission in any central university (out of 44 central universities that will accept admission through CUET 2022) the first thing you must know is the CUET 2022 eligibility criteria. Before applying for the entrance test, Aspirant must check whether you are eligible to appear in the CUET 2022 exam to be held on 15th, 16th, 19th, 20th July 2022 and 04th, 05th, 06th, 07th, 08th and 10th August 2022. CUET 2022 application form can be filled online mode till 24 June 2022. NTA is expected to release the CUET admit card in the fourth week of June only for the successfully registered candidates.

CUET 2022 eligibility criteria

It is important to check your eligibility for the CUET exam, to avoid any confusion at a later stage. Given below are the detailed CUET 2022 eligibility criteria.

1. Qualification for UG Programs: Candidates should have passed 10+2 Intermediate Exam from any Recognized Board.

2. Eligibility for PG Programs: Applying candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from any recognized university.

3. Nationality: Only citizens of India are eligible to apply for CUET 2022 exam.

4. Appearing: Candidates appearing in the respective qualifying examination can also apply for this examination, but they have to produce proof of having passed the examination before the due date.

5. For UG courses, the minimum requirement is 50% for the general category in class 12th. (5% relaxation for SC/ST students).

6. PG applicants belonging to the general category must have secured 55% marks in aggregate in Bachelor’s degree. (5% relaxation for SC/ST)

7. PhD applicants who have qualified CSIR UGC NET (JRF), GATE, NBHM will have to compulsorily register for the exam.

CUET 2022 Admit Card

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the CUET 2022 soon as the exam is scheduled to start from July 15.

To download CUET Admit Card 2022, candidates need to enter their Application Number and Password or Date of Birth in the Admit Card link available on NTA CUET website.
