DU Admission cut-off 2021; Candidates who could not take admission in any college of the University or had their admission canceled during the preceding cut-off may be considered under the special drive.

Delhi University will release a special cut-off list on Wednesday to fill vacant seats in several colleges, officials said.

DU Admission cut-off 2021; On 20th November 2021 means today, the university had announced the data of vacant seats from the colleges.

However, according to news agency PTI, some colleges are yet to send the data. They have been given the option to send the number till 1 pm on 20th November 2021 (Wednesday).

Candidates who could not take admission in any college of the University during the preceding cut-off or had their admission canceled and hence, were not admitted but at any cut-off and Special Drive-I may be considered Is. Admission under Special Drive-II, subject to availability of seats in the said category as per the guidelines.

Under the second special drive, candidates can apply on November 25 and 26 after the colleges release the merit list on their website. They will have time from November 27 to November 30 at 5 pm to make the payment.

University Statement

“There will be no movement allowed during the special drive. Candidates who are already admitted in any program college of the University of Delhi will not be eligible to participate in the special drive. Hence, cancellation options for candidates will be suspended during the special drive,” the university said.

If the number of candidates applying for a particular program in a college is more than the number of seats available, the college will make a merit list as per the best of four/three required for the programme.

The college will take design according to seats are available, then approve the candidature only on the basis of merit and availability of seats. The guidelines state that the list of accepted candidates will be uploaded on the website of the respective college so students understand and know the seats available in colleges.

According to Manish Kansal, admission coordinator of Hindu College, there are hardly 8 to 10 seats are available in the college.

Rajesh Dwivedi, admission coordinator at Aryabhatta College Delhi,

He said the fall in the minimum required marks would be in the range of 4 to 5 % (percent).

“There is no fear in reducing the cut-offs since there is no danger of over-admissions. If there are four vacant seats, we can admit four students and in case there are more applicants, we will take out a merit list. The final decision will be taken on Wednesday on the decline,” he added.

In case of tie for one seat, the candidate with higher percentage of marks (aggregate of best five subjects including one language) in the qualifying examination will be considered first for admission.

Candidate with earlier date of birth (mentioned in class 10 certificate) will be considered for admission in case of tie.

Earlier, Delhi University had announced the cut-off on November 13 as part of a special drive. The university had not shared the admission data for the list.

Till the fifth cut-off, 74,667 students had secured admission. The colleges will only release a merit list and will approve the candidates on the basis of vacant seats.

The new academic session for first year students has started from November 22, 2021
