One of the most well-known names in distance and part-time education in India is the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), which was founded in 1985. In its early years, the Indira Gandhi National Open University offered two programmes to its more than 4,500 students. The university currently provides services to more than four million students through its 21 schools, 67 regional centers, and 29 overseas partner universities. IGNOU offers more than 200 programmes at the certificate, diploma, degree, and doctoral levels.

According to UNESCO, IGNOU is the largest higher education organization. It has been certified by NAAC with an A++ grade. In addition to its 21 Schools of Studies, 67 Regional Centers, more than 2667 Learner Support Centers, 810 teaching staff, and 29 abroad institutes, IGNOU provides a number of facilities. IGNOU offers more than 200 reasonably priced masters, doctorate, and undergraduate programmes.
Admissions are available twice a year, in January and July, at IGNOU. Admission to all UG and PG courses is based on the overall qualifying exam score. Admission to the PhD and B.Ed. degrees is determined by the results of the entrance exam. IGNOU’s B.Ed. NTA offers the entrance exam in two sessions at several venues.
IGNOU Courses
The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers a large number of online and distance learning courses Ignou courses. Only a few courses, meanwhile, are also provided in regular and part-time versions. The PG Diploma in Sustainability Science and the PG Diploma in Digital Media are two of the new programmes the institution has launched this year. The admissions process for the July session of the IGNOU is presently open. There will be two cycles for IGNOU admission, starting in January and July, respectively. The main criterion for admission is the average grade candidates received in their qualifying degree. For a small number of programs, the university, however, administers/accepts the entrance exams for the MBA, B.Ed, Post-Basic BSc Nursing, MPhil, and PhD.

IGNOU Admission
Admissions to IGNOU are made twice a year, in January and July, and are mostly based on the cumulative GPAs of the applicants’ most recent qualifying degrees. For a small number of programs, including MBA, B.Ed, Post-Basic BSc Nursing, MPhil, and PhD, the University does, however, offer the IGNOU OPENMAT, IGNOU BEd Entrance Test, and IGNOU OPENNET exams.

IGNOU Online admission courses
IGNOU now offers 41 Online Distance Learning (ODL) courses at the UG and PG levels. All of these classes are offered online. At their regional center, students are not required to take any physical education classes. The university also provides online courses, which are accessible online. IGNOU Distance Education
It has permission from the NCTE and AICTE and is the main centre for New Delhi. IGNOU Assignment

IGNOU Result
IGNOU conducts exams twice a year, in June and December. Usually 45 days after the exams, IGNOU announces the TEE results. About IGNOU Entrance Exam Result
IGNOU entrance exams are only necessary for a few number of courses, including MBA, B.Ed, BBA (SM), B.Sc. nursing (PB), etc. Students who want to apply for admission to the IGNOU MBA degree must take the twice-yearly (in July and January) OPENMAT exam administered by the NTA.
