NIT and IIT Admission 2021; The Ministry of Education, Government of India had taken a policy decision in 2002 to conduct All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) annually, removing the large number of entrance examinations conducted by various institutions in the country. For admission to Bachelor’s degree programs in the disciplines of Engineering/Technology and Architecture/Planning. This initiative has been widely accepted and appreciated.

A Central Advisory Board (CCB) is constituted by the Government. The Government of India coordinated admissions to UG degree programs in Engineering, Technology, and Architecture in respect of selected institutes till 2012. Since 2013, CCB and AIEEE have been renamed as Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and JEE (Main) respectively.

After completion of all the rounds of JoSAA the special round of counseling will be conducted only for admission in NITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). The vacancies will be announced on 27th November.

NIT and IIT Admission 2021; As per the latest update available on the official website csab.nic.in, the Central Seat Allotment Board (CSAB) will start the registration for the particular round on November 28. After completion of all the rounds of JoSAA the special round of counseling will be conducted only for admission in NITs, IIITs and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

The vacancies will be announced on 27th November. The registration for the special round will close on November 30. The Special Round Seat Allotment Result will be released on 2nd December.

Candidates will be allowed to freeze, slide or float the options from December 2 to December 4. The result of seat allotment round 2 will be declared on December 7. Seat acceptance fee payment/document upload/response to inquiry by the candidate (if required) will be done by 9th December.

This year, PWD candidates will be allowed a longer duration with the option of selecting the institute where they wish to report for physical verification of their PWD status along with the information mentioned in the documents uploaded by the candidates, according to the following schemes.

Those PWD candidates whose certificates have not been physically verified in JoSAA round will have to follow separate procedures for physical verification of their PWD status. The physical verification process will start from November 28 which will continue through the special round of counseling round of CSAB 2021.
