SVKM’s NMIMS is one of the best private deemed universities located in Mumbai. The NMIMS also has campuses in Shirpur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore and Navi Mumbai, Dhule and Chandigarh. There are 17 constituent schools that are located in different locations and offer both undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as engineering, commerce, management, pharmacy, economics, architecture, mathematical sciences, science, law, aviation, hospitality, liberal arts, and performing arts, architecture and design. History
Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal was established NMIMS in 1981, with the help of a donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust, the Management Institute affiliated with the University of Mumbai. NMIMS started its journey by offering Masters in Management Studies with an intake of only 40 students and 4 full-time faculty. It became a Deemed University established by notification of the UGC in 2003 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

NMIMS Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce Campus
The Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce (ASMSOC), established in 2007, offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in business administration, finance, as well as commerce. It was ranked as the best undergraduate B-school in India for its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program by India Today in 2018 and 2019. Admission to various courses is granted on the basis of merit obtained in NPAT (Graduation) and NMAT. (Post Graduate) The Entrance Examination is conducted by the University. The school was established in 2007 offering two courses BBA and B.Com. (Hons.) and shared its campus with MPSTME. In the year 2013, the school moved to its present campus, which is located on parts of the 7th and 8th floors of Mithibai College. B.Sc Finance, a specialized program focused on Investment Analysis, Portfolio Management and Corporate Finance, was introduced in 2014. The school has completed its M.Sc. The finance program and MMS program were introduced in 2018.

Ranking
It was ranked 55th among universities in India and 94th overall by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2021. In 2022 NIRF ranked 51st among the top university in India. It is also ranked 14th in pharmacy rankings and 22nd in management rankings. In 2022 management ranking is 25th by NIRF and 11th rank in Pharmacy
School of Business Management was ranked ninth in India by Business Today’s “India’s Best B-Schools 2019” 4th among private management schools in India by Outlook India in 2020 and 1st in India by India Today’s “Top 120 Colleges” was given BBA” in 2019. And in 2022 India today has given 2nd ranking for the best BBA colleges in India.
