About JEE Main Exam

The JEE Main 2025 exam is a national-level entrance test organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is the first step for students aspiring to secure admission to premier engineering institutions like NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). The JEE Main examination also functions as a qualifying test for JEE Advanced, which is the entrance examination required for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Scoring above the prescribed cut-off marks in JEE Main is essential for candidates aspiring to appear for JEE Advanced and ultimately secure admission into IITs. This progression ensures that only the most capable candidates move forward in the competitive selection process.

The JEE Main examination comprises three papers: Paper 1 is for candidates applying to B.Tech/B.E., Paper 2 is for B.Arch, and Paper 3 is for B.Planning. The test is conducted primarily in online mode across two shifts (morning and afternoon). However, the drawing section in Paper 2 (B.Arch) is conducted in offline mode. This structure ensures a comprehensive evaluation of candidates based on their chosen field of study.

  • JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam from January 22 to 31, 2025.
  • JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam from April 1 to 8, 2025.
