JEE Main Exam Pattern 2022

The Exam pattern of JEE Main released by National Testing Agency. Exam 1 and exam 2 is conducted in 2 shifts in a day.Exam1 is online based exam and 2nd exam is both online and offline based.

NTA confirmed that no changes will be made in exam syllabus and exam pattern.JEE Main both Exams are conducted two times in a year i.e. in the month of June and July by NTA only from 2019 but in 2021 it will conduct 2 times in June and July, The Dates and Timings and other information for June 2022 exam are out now.

JEE Main June 2022 Exam conducted in 8 shifts begins from 20th to 29th June 2022 and Participants can apply for the exam on the official website of NTA. Exam 1 contains Physics, chemistry, and mathematics, as well as Exam 2 Contain Aptitude test, Mathematics and drawing test.  Participants can choose 1 or both of the JEE Main Exams. The exam timing is 3 hrs, and 4 participants can gain 4 marks for each correct answer and can also lose 1 mark for each wrong answer.

JEE Main Pattern: 

  • Previously, JEE Mains conducted by CBSE
  • Exam 1 was conducted in online mode.
  • And, JEE Main 2nd Exam was conducted in offline mode.
  • CBSE is responsible for releasing the official Mock Tests for the examination

  • JEE Main 1st  Exam will be Fully online
  •  The exam is conducted from June 20th to 29th 2022   (for the June session).  

-As per NTA, exam pattern of JEE Main Exam 1 like question paper, the timing of exam details are given below:

  • Sections/ Parts

Part I - Physics

Part II – Chemistry

Part III – Mathematics

  • Number of Questions – Total 90 questions, each section consisting of 30 questions each.
  • Nature of Questions – Multiple choice types.
  • Exam Mode – Choice of students from both Online or Offline mode
  • Exam Timing– 3 hrs| For Participants with 40% disability4 hrs
  • Exam Medium – The Jee Main Question Paper is available in Hindi and English for all exam centers but for places like Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, the exam medium will be in Gujarati.
  • Marking Program – Each question carries 4 marks. For each wrong answer, 1/4th mark of the total mark allotted will be lost by a participant.
