XAT 2022

Xavier Aptitude Test, XAT is an entrance test for Management courses. XAT test is conducted every year by Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI).  XLRI is a management school founded in 1949 by the Society of Jesus and it is situated in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand (India). Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI) has been conducting XAT for more than sixty years. XAT is the second Largest MBA entrance exam after CAT. It is also considered one of the toughest entrance exams for management courses in India. This exam calls for complete dedication and hard work. This exam is organized once in a year generally in the month of January. This year XAT was conducted on 5th January 2020. Next year it will be held on the first Sunday of January.

So XAT 2022 will be conducted on 2nd January 2022. XLRI will announce all XAT 2022 important dates and XAT complete schedule in the month of August 2021. Its registration process will also start in the month of August. XAT is a computer-based entrance test that will be conducted by XLRI in a single session across the country in 2022. It is expected that around 1 lakh candidates will apply for XAT 2022. To apply for XAT Examination, the candidate should be graduated in any discipline or the candidate should be in the final year of his/her graduation. The duration of this exam is 180 minutes and English is the medium of answering the questions of XAT. The result is generally announced by the end of January 2022. XAT scores are considered for admission in Management programs. More than 150 B-Schools accept XAT exam scores for admission in Management courses.

XAT Eligibility 2022

XAT Exam is one of the toughest exams for Management courses but eligibility required for appearing in XAT is the simplest one. Almost all the entrance exam’ eligibility criteria are very lengthy and cumbersome. But for XAT all the students who have completed their 3 years Bachelor’s Degree are eligible for appearing in the exam. The XAT Exam Eligibility has not much changed over the years. It is expected that this year XLRI does not suppose to change the eligibility criteria for XAT 2022.

The best part of the eligibility criteria of XAT is that it does not state any minimum percentage of marks required for appearing in the exam. Any graduate and final year appearing student can register for XAT 2022.

XAT Exam Dates 2022

As XAT is conducted by XLRI, so all the important dates and XAT schedules are released by XLRI. XLRI will release the Exam dates and other schedules on the official website for XAT that is xatonline.in. XAT Exam is held every year in January. This year XAT Exam will be held on 2nd January 2022. XAT Registration Process 2022

Registration for XAT will start from 5th August 2021. The last date of XAT Exam Registration 2021 is November 30, 2021. XAT Application form can be filled in online mode as offline application form process has been discontinued by XLRI. Following are the steps in the Registration process of XAT 2021.

Step 1: Register on official website of XAT.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form with complete personal Details

Step 3: Fill the details with Academics from 10th onwards on the next page of XAT application form

Step 4: Next section of Application form calls for details regarding Work Experience, fill it properly

Step 5: Now, select the XLRI Programmes of your choice and Select the XAT Test City of your preference.

Step 6: Make payment online for XAT Registration fee and XLRI Programmes Application Fee.

XAT Pattern 2022

Xavier Aptitude Test is an online entrance exam for Management courses. XAT exam is one of the oldest entrance exams. This exam is being conducted for 60 years and XAT 2022 will be the third computer-based test in the 60+ year’s history of XAT.

The XAT exam Paper is divided into four sections namely

  • Verbal and Logical Ability
  • Decision Making
  • Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
  • General Knowledge

The duration of the exam is 3 hours. The number of questions in each section keeps on changing every year. As regarding the marking scheme, one mark is awarded for the correct answer, and 0.25 marks is deducted for every incorrect answer. In the XAT Exam Pattern, there is a choice to leave 8 questions unattempted, but beyond this, for any unattempted question, 0.05 marks will be deducted.

XAT Syllabus 2022

The syllabus of XAT exam is based on questions related to the following topics:

  • Verbal ability, Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning
  • Decision Making
  • Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation
  • General Knowledge

There are four sections in the XAT Exam Syllabus. The first section consists of Questions related to verbal & Logical Ability. There are approx 7 important topics covered under this section. This section contains moderate-high-level questions. The second section is based on questions related to Decision Making. This section contains questions on the topics like condition and grouping, Data Arrangement, Complex Arrangement, etc. The third section is Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation. This is the most difficult section. Questions in this section are asked from the topics like Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Data tables, Data Charts, pie charts, bar diagrams, etc. The last section contains questions of General Knowledge, generally from economics, finance, national and international current affairs, etc.

XAT Question Paper

For cracking any entrance, hard words and firm determination are required. This is not easy to clear any exam in one go with good scores. Proper practice, revision is required for this purpose. The best way to prepare for any exam is to take help from the question banks which contain questions from the last ten-year question paper. In this way, the candidate who is going to appear for any entrance exam can get aware of the pattern of the XAT Question Paper, difficulty level, etc.  To clear the XAT exam on the first attempt with good scores is a little difficult task but not impossible. For preparing XAT exam, we provide online study material and practice test series which are both set wise and chapter wise. The question bank contains questions of the last ten years and there are numerous questions for practice.

XAT Admit Card

The Admit Card will be issued by XLRI Jamshedpur from 20th December 2021 tentatively. Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website of XAT i.e. xatonline.in. You need to enter the enrollment ID and Password to download the XAT Admit Card. The Admit Card can be downloaded by following the given steps

Step 1: Visit the official website, xatonline.in

Step 2: Here you will find “Download Admit Card” link, click on it.

Step 3: Submit the details asked there, the document will be available for download.

Step 5: Download the Admit Card and take multiple hard copies of the document.

XAT Exam Center

The list of the centers for the XAT exam will be available soon on the official website of XAT. This year the exam will be conducted in 71 cities of India. The XAT Exam Centers are spread across the country. It is expected that this year there will a rise in the number of test centers to meet the rising number of test-takers. The candidates have to select any three test centers as their preferred location. From the three preferred locations, one location will be allotted as the final test center.
