Overview

Kingston University London is a Public Research University of UK. It is located within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, in South West London, United Kingdom. Formerly Kingston University was known as Kingston Polytechnic. It got the University status in 1992, after which it came to be known as Kinston University. Kingston was founded in 1899 as Kingston Technical Institute. Its Motto is “Per Scientiam Progredimur” which means "Let us advance through science".

Kingston University has multiple campuses. Each campus is unique and equipped with all facilities. These campuses are Penrhyn Road Campus, Kingston Hill campus, Knight Park Campus, Roehampton Vale campus, St George’s Campus. Penrhyn Road Campus is the main campus of Kingston University and it is located close to Kingston town centre. Kingston Hill campus is located three miles outside the Kinston town centre.

Kingston University is divided into four faculties. It specializes in the arts, design, fashion, science, engineering and business. Each faculty offers both undergraduate and post graduate courses. These faculties also undertake research in related areas.  These faculties are:

•    Faculty of Business and Social Sciences
•    Faculty of Health, Social care and Education
•    Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing

Kingston School of Art has been regarded as one of the best art and design schools in Europe for teaching and research worldwide. The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences is a combination of the heritage and modern capabilities of the Kingston Business School and the School of Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences. It offers a wide range of courses across a variety of subjects. The Faculty of Health, Social care and Education offers a wide range of health, social care and education courses and training opportunities. The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing is a combination of three schools and it was formed in 2011.
