Alliance Ascent College Admission Process

Alliance Selection Process is designed for holistic evaluation of the candidate based on the following parameters: Past Academic Performance; National Test Scores followed by a Personal Interview. The applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their profiles. They are also expected to meet the qualifying scores in at least one of the entrance exams. Each of the profiles are scored by a panel based on the overall performance and past academic record. Extracurricular activities such as sports or cultural activity achievements at state and national level are also considered in the profile evaluation.

EVALUATION PROCESS

All applications are reviewed by the selection committee. Candidates are evaluated based on the candidate’s performance in the national entrance exam or Alliance entrance exam, academic performance through school and college and their involvement in extra-curricular activities and the performance in various aspects on the selection day.

Alliance Ascent College Admission offers MBA based on Alliance Management Aptitude Test (AMAT) followed by Personal Interview. However, candidates holding a valid score in any National or state level exams like CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ NMAT. Admission to BBA and B. Com. is based on AUSAT (Alliance University Scholastic Aptitude Test) followed by a personal interview.

Career Advancement and Networking (CAN) aims at helping students in achieving their career goals. It helps the students in better understanding their career, exploring new possibilities, guiding them on career paths, preparing them for interviews, and navigating them from the tangled web of job searches. CAN facilitates various guest lectures, corporate events, seminars, in-plant training, certificate programs, workshops, live projects, industry exposure visits for the university graduates.

One-on-one career counseling sessions by the Office of Career Advancement and Networking (CAN), examine the interests, skills, and competencies along with regular scrutiny of the academic growth of students to help, guide and support them at each stage of their journey. A plethora of opportunities are created year after year at Alliance for graduating students in leading firms and companies.

Infrastructure

Alliance Ascent College’s infrastructure ensures a healthy and lively life for its key constituents and provides an ideal environment for their intellectual growth. The facilities include a library, conference halls, cafeteria, health clinic and an excellent information technology infrastructure.

Library

Alliance Ascent College reference and lending library is well-stocked with a vast collection of books, reports, journals and periodicals. The library also provides access to the best of business and management-related digital resources through its subscription to various databases consisting of scholarly and industry-relevant content. Students utilize these services for their classroom-related work and for further research into their areas of interest.

Information Technology Infrastructure

Alliance Ascent College has implemented an information technology network with the latest technology. High-speed servers—running on a variety of platforms to suit all kinds of requirements, support the entire network. The computer labs with broadband connectivity enable students to seamlessly complete their academic work as well as pursue research. Students can make the most of the Wi-Fi connectivity, which facilitates easy access to the Internet anywhere on the campus.

Classrooms

Spacious and air-conditioned lecture classrooms and conference halls are equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities for an enhanced learning experience. Conference halls that accommodate large groups at a time are used often for seminars and group meetings.

Hostel Facilities

Alliance Ascent College provides separate hostel facilities for men and women, which are adjacent to the educational campus. The hostels are managed by the College administration. These hostels offer modern amenities and are neat and well-maintained.

Adventure sports for students is highly popular with both undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University. This activity is championed by the Alliance Adventure Club where the students take a leadership role, and under the guidance of trained professionals and experts. Alliance Ascent College Scholarships

Scholarships are offered to students across all programs. Merit scholarships based on National Entrance Exam Scores and Academic Results are announced by the Alliance Scholarship Committee. Scholarships worth Rs. 6 Crores available for meritorious students. Category-based scholarships are offered by the Registrar’s office on a first-come, first-served basis.

MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

CATEGORY-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

Differently Abled:

Applicable as per the provisions of the RPwD Act, 2016 to all the categories of disabilities identified. A student with 40% permanent disability of the mentioned categories and with a Unique Disability ID from the Government of India will be considered for the scholarship.

Defence and Paramilitary Quota:

Serving personnel; ex-servicemen; retired personnel and deceased personnel or their dependents from Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Coast Guard, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), National Security Guards (NSG), Special Frontier Force (SFF), Assam Riffles, Border Road Organization / General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Military Engineers Service (MES) and Defense Security Corps (DSC).

Sports International Level:

A player who has represented India in any International Sports Competitions approved by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/ SAI/ IOA/ FISU/ National Federation of Concerned Games approved by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/ Association of Indian Universities/ School Games Federation of India. The student must obtain a certificate from the concerned authorities of the sport. The candidate should have participated and won in the International level sports/ games conducted by the competent authority.

Sports National Level:

A student who has represented for the state in any competition conducted between the last two consecutive calendar years at the national level in Individual/ Teams approved by the Ministry of Sports/ Sports Federation/ AIU. The student must obtain a certificate from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/ National Federation/ Board of concerned games only. The candidate should have participated and won in the National level sports/ games conducted by the competent authority.

Domicile:

The student should have studied and passed in one or more Government / Government recognized educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the candidate is seeking admissions to and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State. In case of the candidate who has taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the year of academic study is counted as one year only.
