Noida International University - School of Business Management Admission

Admissions to programs at NIU are conducted through the NSAT (NIU Scholarship cum Admission Test) for technical programs and through GD/PI for non-technical programs. We also consider scores from state-level and national-level entrance exams such as JEE and CUET.

The entire application process is handled online, while payments can be made both online and offline. It is essential to complete and submit your application along with all required documents. If any documents are missing, you will be promptly notified, and your application will not be reviewed until the missing documents are received.

Step 1 – Complete the Online Application Form and Submit Required Documents

Candidates are required to fill out the online application form using the link provided below. Upon submitting the form, a non-refundable application fee of INR 1100 will be charged, payable through net banking, credit card, debit card, or wallet, as per the bank details and online payment link mentioned.

Documents Required for Admission (National Applicants):

  • Class 10/SSC Marksheet or O Level Certificate (or equivalent).
  • 10+2/Intermediate Marksheet or A Level Certificate (or equivalent) for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
  • Graduation marksheet (or equivalent) for postgraduate courses.
  • Equivalence Certificate from AIU, if applicable.
  • Counselling letter from CUET, if applicable.
  • Transfer or migration certificate (if applicable).
  • Aadhar Card (for national applicants).
  • Four recent passport-size photographs.

Once your application is received by the admissions cell, an acknowledgement will be sent to your registered email address.

Step 2 – Verification of Documents

  • After successfully verifying your eligibility and submitted documents, a detailed schedule for your entrance test or GD/PI, including the date, time, and venue, will be sent to your registered email ID. If you do not receive an acknowledgement of your application within three working days, please contact the admissions office at admissions@niu.edu.in.

Step 3 – Pay Your Semester/Annual Fees

  • Upon selection for admission, students must reserve their seat by promptly paying the semester or annual fees. Failure to complete the payment may result in the seat being allocated to another candidate.
  • Please note that any payment made toward reserving a seat that is less than the prescribed semester fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, the security deposit of INR 10,000 (if paid separately) is refundable upon the successful completion of the course.
  • Important: After depositing the fees, candidates must immediately inform the admissions department via email at admissions@niu.edu.in, providing the application number, candidate name, course name, admission number (if issued), and a scanned copy of the bank receipt.

Step 4: Offer of Admission

  • The university will issue an Offer or Provisional Admission Letter once the student meets the examination qualifications or eligibility criteria. The Provisional Admission Letter will be issued only once the accounts department has confirmed receipt of the semester or annual fee payment.
  • Registered or waitlisted students should pay the remaining balance within 15 days of receiving the offer letter to confirm their seat. Failure to do so may result in the seat being transferred to other waitlisted candidates.
  • Note: Admissions to all programs at NIU are subject to the eligibility norms set by UGC, BCI, NMC, UPSMF, INC, IAP, NCTE, PCI, and the University Academic Council.

This Exam is conducted once in a year usually in the month of November on online mode and it is expected that this year this exam will held in the last week of November. The question paper contains 100 questions to be solved in 3 hours. 3 marks are assigned for correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for wrong answer in CAT Exam. English is the only medium of answering the questions. Each question consists of four choices from which only one is correct, candidates have to select the right answer from the given options.

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension Section

This section is a combination of two sub-sections namely Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC). The main focus of this section is on the English language skills of the candidates and how they understand and elucidate the paragraphs and Passages. This section consists of 34 questions, 10 questions of Verbal Ability and 24 questions of Reading Comprehension. Verbal ability sub-section consists of questions related to Para-jumbles, Summary based questions, Sentence Correction and Completion. The other sub-section, Reading Comprehension is based on the questions related to Vocabulary, title etc.

Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation Section

This section is also divided into two sub-sections, one is Logical Reasoning (LR) and other is Data Interpretation (DI). A total of 32 questions are asked in this section, 16 questions from both the sub-section. LR section contains solvable questions generally from the topics like inequalities, symbol operations, direction sense test etc. On the other hand DI section is a little difficult and time-consuming section as it consists of several confusing data case lets questions. This section contains tricky question and a little mistake in understanding the case lets can lead the candidates to attempt all the questions from a particular set incorrectly.

Quantitative Aptitude Section

This section is a standalone section which comprises only numerical questions from different topics of Math. A total of 34 questions are asked in this section. This section contains questions based on Basic Arithmetic, Number System, Geometry, Algebra, Modern Math etc. The questions in this section ranges from easy to moderately high and can be answered easily with proper practice of the syllabus of Quantitative Aptitude.
