The admission procedure at Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT), Bangalore, is as follows:

• Entrance Exam: The first step to apply for a course at Sir MVIT is to appear for the relevant entrance exam, such as the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) or the Comed-K Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) for undergraduate courses, and the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), or the Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for postgraduate courses.
