Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU), which was founded in 1964, is acknowledged by the Indian government and has received an "A+" rating from the NAAC for its accreditation. The UGC and the relevant statutory councils have given their approval to each of the programmes that BVDU offers. It belongs to both the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) (ACU). Bharati Vidyapeeth is a Deemed University with the authority to hold its own exams, including the BMAT for MBA, BUMAT for BBA and BCA entrance, M-EYECET for M.Optometry, and CET Engineering for B.Tech and M.Tech. For both 2020 and 2021, the NIRF placed BVDU 68 among Universities and 98 overall in India.
