The Jindal School of Environment & Sustainability (JSES), established in 2020, envisions becoming a global leader in fostering a sustainable future through innovative teaching, practice-based learning, and impact-driven research. As the world grapples with a growing array of environmental challenges, there is an urgent need for increased collaboration and innovation across industries, governments, academia, and the public.
Amid these crises, a critical gap exists in both human resource development and relevant research. JSES aims to address this by integrating the theory and practice of environmental and sustainability studies with research, advocacy, outreach, and capacity-building initiatives. The school's primary objective is to equip students with a concentration in environment and sustainability studies, offering them opportunities to explore the complex interactions between humans and their environment.
