Brainware University Kolkata, a part of a 33-year-old leading education group, Brainware of West Bengal, started with the aim of contributing to nation-building through research, innovation and quality education. Established in 2016 as a UGC-recognised, private state university in West Bengal, Brainware University offers over 55 PhD, PG, UG Diploma and Skills programmes on its state-of-the-art, sprawling, green, ragging-free campus.

It is the brainchild of Mr Phalguni Mookhopadhayay, the Chancellor whose acumen and vision have transformed Brainware University into one of the best crucibles of learning in a short period of five years. Since 1990, Brainware has been endeavouring to make quality education affordable to all ambitious students, across all sections of the society and have crossed several achievement milestones over the years and went on to become one of the best private universities in West Bengal.  

Over 2 lacs students have been trained and placed pan India. The global learning campus at Barasat is home to over 15000 students. The university prides itself in outstanding placement records; right from inception, the number never fell below 90%. Our pro-active placement cell has a network with over 500 recruiters across India. One-to-one intensive pre-placement training, aptitude grooming, industry-specific skill training are cardinal to our one-of-a-kind placement training to make our students job-ready.

Even in this pandemic, the education process has never stopped. The online classes helped the students continue their courses uninterruptedly.
