The origins of IIHMR University trace back to October 5, 1984, with the establishment of its sponsoring organization, the Indian Institute of Health Management Research. Building on this foundation, IIHMR University was formally established in 2014 and incorporated as a postgraduate research university by the Government of Rajasthan through the IIHMR University, Jaipur Act, 2014 (Act No. 3 of 2014).

Today, IIHMR University stands as a premier institution specializing in health management, offering a multidisciplinary academic environment supported by a highly experienced faculty. The university is actively involved in teaching, research, training, consultancy, and global partnerships, creating a vibrant ecosystem for learning and innovation.

IIHMR University offers a diverse portfolio of postgraduate programs tailored to address the evolving needs of the healthcare and development sectors. These include:

In collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA, the university also offers a globally recognized Master of Public Health (MPH) program.
