The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune (IIITP), is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology, a group of Institutions of Higher Education in India aim to focus on Information Technology. IT is established in July, 2016 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and some industry partners as Not-for-Profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) institution. The mentor of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITP) is Government College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP).

IIITP is based in Pune, Maharashtra and began its academic sessions in July 2016. The institute is functioning from the temporary campus of Trinity Academy of Engineering of KJEI, in the beautiful foothills of Bopdev Ghat, Yevalewadi, Pisauli, Pune. For the academic year 2018-19, he offered two courses in Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech).

•    B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
•    B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)

In 2019-20, the institute has an intake capacity of 150 students for CSE and 75 students for ECE. From 2019-20, the institute has introduced Masters of Technology (M. Tech) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) programs. The M. Tech programs are designed to provide students with the latest aspects of technology through introduction and advanced level courses, followed by research in their area of ​​specialization. The institute provides M. Tech program with specialization in Artificial Intelligence (AI) with its own Department of CSE and Internet of Things (IoT) in ECE Department. The M. Tech programs are a two-year structured program consisting of a one-year curriculum and a one-year project / credit component of the thesis.

The Ph.D program aims to assist students who have gained proficiency in their chosen field of research. Ph.D. degree is broad-based and involves the submission of a course credit requirement and a research thesis. The institute encourages research in interdisciplinary areas through joint supervision and a system of inter-group activities.
