Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM), Lucknow is an autonomous business school and an institute of National Importance. It is located in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is abbreviated as IIM Lucknow or IIM-L. It was established in 1984 by the Government of India as the fourth Indian Institute of Management (IIM). It was established with a mission to improve management systems through pursuit of excellence in management education training, consultancy and research. Its vision is to be a preeminent centre of excellence committed towards generating and imparting management knowledge and providing socially conscious and globally relevant leader.

Ministry of Human Resource Development has recognized the Institution as an "Institution of Excellence".  IIM Lucknow also does mentoring for newly established IIM Jammu, IIM Rohtak and IIM Kashipur. IIM Sirmaur has also worked under the mentorship of IIM Lucknow till 2018. Its campus is spread on a 200-acre site in the northern outskirts of Lucknow. It also has a second campus at Noida which is spread on a 20-acre site. Both the campuses offer various programs. IIM Lucknow accepts Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to its two year PGP and fellowship programmes. GMAT score is used for admission in International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX). This is a one-year full-time residential programme which is equivalent to an MBA program. The programs of IIM Lucknow are accredited by AMBA which is a global accreditation body.
