IIT School of Public Health has been emerged with an innovative approach by pooling different expertise from public health domain-related Schools of KIIT under One Umbrella. It was established in 2015. Public Health is outlined as “the art and science of preventing unwellness, prolonging life and promoting health through the organized efforts of society” (Acheson E.D, 1988).
While a doctor(practising clinical medicine) treats people when they fall sick or disabled, a public health practician protects and forestall folks from obtaining sick or disabled,
It promotes and protects the health of the population as an entire (locally, across the country and globally).
