Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal is also known as REC Bhopal (Regional Engineering College Bhopal), is a public higher engineering educational University which is located at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is a chain of publicly funded institutions in India named by National Institute of Technology. It renamed after the independent India’s first Minister of Education, Scholar and independence power broker Abul Kalam Azad who’s commonly remembered as Maulana Azad. During the period of (2000-2002), MACT became a National Institute of Technology and was announced as an Institute of National Importance, it has status of Deemed University fully authorized by the Government of India. Under the National Institute of Technology Act-2007 the campus is fully authorized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Government of India is governed by the NIT Council. MANIT was established in 1960 at Govt. S.V. Polytechnic with the number of 120 students and 7 Faculty members. Maulana Azad was started during the Second Five-Year Plan (1956-1960), where the main focus to develop the public sector and fast speed with industrialization.

This Institute welcome challenging task of development of technical education by preparing seasoned graduated in highly advance field of engineering and technology. Through the best training they can improve or increase the combination of cost effectiveness and efficiency along with producing world-class technology at the advance guard.

It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, architecture and management.  NIT Bhopal, admission is done on the basis of the national level examination-through the JEE Main, CAT etc. For the NRI’s and foreign student, the admission is conducted by the DASA ( Direct Admissions for Students Abroad) where a qualifying score of the SAT subject test in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is required. Such exams hold every year.
