The National Institute of Technology, Rourkela has started his career in the year of 1961, it is also known as the Regional Engineering College Rourkela (REC Rourkela). This institution belongs to public funded premier institute of higher learning for the Technical Students- Engineering, Science and Technology. National Institute of Technology, Rourkela offers a 2 undergraduate course in various engineering disciplines and providing 3 programs for Post-graduation in the field of Management and Technogoloy.  NITR also provides doctoral program in multiple disciplines.
