Osmania University is a public state university located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was established in 1918 by the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Nawab Osman Ali Khan. It is the third oldest university in southern India, and the first to be established in the princely state of Hyderabad.

The university is spread over a sprawling campus of nearly 1600 acres and is known for its picturesque surroundings and architectural beauty. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in various fields such as arts, science, commerce, law, engineering, technology, education, social sciences, and management.

The university has 12 faculties and more than 300 affiliated colleges.
