SMU Distance Education Admission 

Eligible candidates can apply either online or by mailing a paper copy to the University's headquarters. Original documentation must be included with the application. The Institute accepts applicants based on their performance in the last qualifying test. However, in order to be admitted to an MBA program, a student must take the SMU-DE Management Aptitude Test (SMAT). Applicants who have passed the MAT, CAT, or GMAT with a 40 percentile in the same year are not required to take the SMAT.

SMUDE's application process is completed entirely online. To fill out the application form, candidates must complete the steps below:

• Click on 'Request Info' on the University's official website 
• The students will be contacted by a University admissions counsellor.
• If you are judged to be eligible, the counsellor will send you an email with a link to the application form.
• Candidates must complete the application form with both personal and academic information.
• The required documents must be submitted in the specified dimensions and size.
• Using a credit/debit card or net banking, pay the application fee online.

SMU Distance Education Scholarship Scheme 

Scholarship 1
For students from Sikkim and the North East region,  University offers a special fee waiver of 30%. A fee waiver is available to candidates from Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, and Mizoram who have proper address evidence.

 Scholarship 2
The Divyang scholarship scheme offers a 25% fee reduction to differently-abled individuals. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have a valid certificate from an authorized doctor.

Scholarship 3
Armed Forces, Indian Coast Guard, and Paramilitary Forces (CRPF, BSF, CISF), as well as all defense personnel and their family members, are eligible for a 30% tuition fee reduction at  University.
