XIM University, originally established as Xavier University on July 6, 2013, under the Xavier University, Odisha Act, 2013, underwent a name change following the enactment of the Xavier University, Odisha (Amendment) Act, 2021, on May 11, 2021, in the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
