NMAT by GMAC 2023

NMAT is one of the National Level entrance exams for admission in Management courses. NMAT is a computer-based entrance exam. It is a two-hour test and divided into three sections. The full form of NMAT is the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Management Aptitude Test. In 2015, this exam is acquired by Graduate Management Admission Council, and therefore it is renamed as NMAT by GMAC. Now, the NMAT exam is conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) is an organization, which includes leading graduate business schools around the world. GMAC believes that business and management are important for the economic and social welfare of people around the world. GMAC also works as a major source of research and information about quality graduate management education. Before 2015, NMAT is conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai for MBA programs only. It is the mandatory entrance examination for entering the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). For admission to the MBA Program of NMIMS Mumbai and its other campuses, it is very essential to Give NMAT Entrance exam. This exam is also considered by many other B-schools for admission in their MBA program.

Option to take NMAT several times: A candidate is allowed to take NMAT three times in the entry cycle. It helps the candidate to score better with every effort.

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility 2023

Before applying for NMAT candidates must fulfill the criteria for being eligible for NMAT Exam Eligibility Criteria for appearing in the NMAT exam by GMAC 2023 examination has been announced by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The following are the criteria which are necessary to be fulfilled for appearing in the NMAT examination:

  • The candidate must hold Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or institution.
  • The graduation Percentage should be as per the requirement of MBA College.
  • Final year appearing students can also apply for NMAT
  • There is no age bar or age limit to appear for the NMAT examination.
  • Candidates having professional degrees can also apply for NMAT.

NMAT by GMAC Registration / Application Process 2023

Any candidate can apply for NMAT Exam Registration if he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria. The candidates need to register themselves at the official website before filling the form. Candidates can follow the steps given below for applying for the NMAT examination.

Step 1: Registration at the official website of NMAT, i.e. www.namt.org.in

Step 2: Re-login as a registered user by using the Registration number and password generated in the first step

Step 3: Fill the application form carefully and note down the Application number

Step 4: Then select the slot for the exam in the scheduled and rescheduled exam category

Step 5: Upload the required images like photographs and signatures.

Step 6: Payment of the Application charges.

NMAT by GMAC Pattern 2023

NMAT Exam paper has three sections- Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. Time is limited for each section. The examination will be conducted in multiple Windows management courses. The exam pattern for NMAT is the same for all the slots. It is one of the most popular exams. NMAT exam is conducted in online mode only. The questions asked in this exam are Multiple choice questions having five choices. Candidates are required to choose the most appropriate answer. A total of 120 questions are asked in NMAT Exam Pattern. The maximum time limit for completion of the 120 questions in 120 minutes or 2 hours. The candidate enjoys the advantage of choosing the order of sections in the examination. But once the order of sections is selected, it cannot be changed. There is a time limit for the completion of each section. The candidates have to attempt the questions of the respective section within the stipulated time limit. Like other entrance exams, there is no negative marking scheme for unattempted and incorrect answers.

NMAT by GMAC Syllabus 2023

Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) specifies the syllabus for NMAT every year. As the exam of NMAT Exam Syllabus is divided into three sections, therefore its syllabus is also categorized into three sections

  • Language Skills
  • Quantitative Analysis
  • Logical Reasoning

Language Skills

The first section of NMAT is Language Skills. This section evaluates the candidate's command of the English Language and Communication Skills. This section contains questions from the topics like Para jumble, Vocabulary, Idioms, Antonyms, Synonyms, Passages Syntax, etc.

Quantitative Analysis

This section covers topics from the major areas of Quantitative Ability, Data Analysis, Data Sufficiency, and Data Interpretation. The questions are based on the topics of Math. This section tests the candidate’s intellectuality in using mathematical concepts.

Logical Reasoning

This section is designed in such a way to test the candidate's ability to analyze the logical questions. This section covers topics of problem-solving nature like Coding and Series, Statement-conclusion, Data Arrangement, clocks, and calendars, etc.

NMAT by GMAC Admit Card 2023

Admit card is the most important document on the day of the exam. No candidates who have registered themselves for the NMAT examination are not permitted to give the exam without showing their admit card. Admit card is available within 24 hours of the successful registration process and payment process on the official website of NMAT. Admit cards can be downloaded by using the User ID and Password generated during the registration process. The following steps should be followed to download the NMAT, Admit Card:

Step 2: Click on the download ‘NMAT Admit Card’ link

Step 3: Enter here your User ID and Password and then click on ‘login’

Step 4: You will be directed to the Amit Card page, Download the Admit Card

Step 5: Check all the details in Admit Card then take few print out of it.

NMAT by GMAC Exam Center 2023

Graduate Management Aptitude Council (GMAC) has released the official list of exam centers for the NMAT 2023-2024. There are 66 test centers in India. These 66 test centers are spread over 52 cities throughout India. There are 4 International centers for the NMAT examination. NMAT provides an option to choose the most preferred exam center. The final allotted exam center is mentioned by NMAT by GMAC on the admit card. The exam centers are spread in five directions like North, South, West, East, and Central location. The four International NMAT Exam Centers are situated in Kathmandu in Nepal, Thimpu in Bhutan, Dhaka in Bangladesh, and Colombo in Srilanka.

NMAT by GMAC Result 2023

The Result NMAT by GMAC will be temporarily announced by GMAC in the 2nd week of January 2024. NMAT's final scorecard/results by GMAC 2023 will include total scores with a scale score and percent ranking for each segment. Online results of NMAT will be made available to the test takers and can be downloaded by entering the user ID and password created during the NMAT process. The results and scores of the NMAT by GMAC 2023 will be forwarded to five B-schools after the release of the final percentile. These five B-Schools are those B-schools that the applicants had chosen during the application process. NMAT by GMAC participants Institutes will announce the shortlisted names of the students for the final selection process based on their NMAT Exam Results in 2023.

NMAT by GMAC Cutoff 2023

Cutoffs are the minimum score required to secure admission.  Different colleges and Institutions have different criteria for admission therefore they also have a different cutoff list. The cutoff is used as a tool for shortlisting candidates. NMAT Cut off are the minimum scores published by the various institutes for admission in their MBA/PGDM program. NMAT by GMAC Cutoffs are published by the participating institutions soon after the declaration of the result of the NMAT by GMAC. Students scoring more than the cutoffs are eligible for further admission procedures.
