•    NIT Calicut offers scholarship to deserving candidates, especially to those students whose has low-economic backgrounds or from reserved section. Some of them are following: 1. Merit cum Means (MCM) Scholarship- Financial assistance is provided to poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities. The family income must be less than INR 2.5 LPA. Recipient of this scholarship must not score less 50%.    2. E-Grantz: it is a web-based solution for timely disbursement of educational assistance to all post-metric students of SC, ST, OBC as well as economically weaker sections. The family income must be less than INR 1,00,000. Students have to maintain at least 75% attendance at the end of each month. Interested students can submit their application on the official website.
•    NIT Calicut was ranked 28th in engineering stream and 3rd in the architecture stream in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019. It was ranked 20th among engineering colleges in India in 2017 by THE WEEK. . In another hand the biggest new for the NIT group is that NIT Calicut ranking of 2018 was 251-300 by the QS BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) University in the international level.
